New Discourses Bullets, Ep. 40
So your job is making you take a Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) training, an “unconscious bias” training, or maybe a “Sustainability,” ESG, or SDG (Sustainable Development Goals) meeting. In other words, your job is forcing some kind of Neo-Communist brainwashing on you. What should you do? At this point, while laying low is understandable, many people realize they need to fight back. How can they, though? In this episode of New Discourses Bullets, host James Lindsay offers four strategies you can use to push back against ideological brainwashing “training” sessions. Join him to learn what you can do.

I think the way racism, slavery, etc. are talked about in these DEI-training sessions might unfortunately be sub-optimal at best and possibly prime examples of “white supremacy” and “white complicity”.
I fear it might be a prime example of “internalized oppression” or even “anti-blackness” because, for instance, African Americans might not be singled out as a group and taught about their associated histories and possible “unconsous biases” and “implicit attitudes” towards, for instance, Asian people.
This all might be a good example that shows how “white complicity” operates, even through such things as DEI-training sessions. The results might be a lack of education and awareness for certain people beloning to certain groups which might have cumulative and even “intersectional” effects.
All in all, this lack of “diversity” in DEI-training sessions might be something to be aware of and something that can be tackled in some way, shape, or form.
What I wonder concerning these DEI training-sessions is whether there might be some legal ways that can be examined to make them stop.
I wonder on what basis employers have the right to make employees undergo such training-sessions. These sessions, to me at least, seem to 1) have little to do with the work, and 2) may entail listening to “information” and “knowledge” that might be severely flawed, and might even lead to un-known and detrimental long-term effects.
Also, this all seems like a way to “train” employees in even more things, and involving even more topics…
As a lifelong spiritual seeker, rebel, former hippie and back packing world traveler in search of freedom and liberation, then a reformed outsider and converted family man and small business operator I have experienced my share interactions with the world. Never would I have believed that America would devolve to embrace this sort of toxic idiotic poison.
I got sick hearing about these so called training sessions. As I rebel and outsider who has always embraced independence and tolerance at the same time and seeing life through the objective viewpoint as much as possible its absurd for so called ”Liberal” type people to bully other innocent citizens and for the establishment elite power establishment itself to endorse and bless this movement. We must also call the woke out at every turn and expose them as ill liberal and get them to admit they are not liberal and to stop calling themselves that or misuse that term. They must be showed up and out witted and have their bluff called.
I wonder how common these programs are in the job world??? And Joe Biden is pouring billions in these DEI budgets in his new economic package. The ”Hosts” of these brainwashing sessions are Fing assholes.
Good info , James
Other tools for undermining fascist authoritarians. Including during meetings and in interactions. See this short pamphlet: “Simple Sabotage Field Manual” by United States. Office of Strategic Services. (OSS was the precursor to the CIA, back when it was not sus.)
