The New Discourses Podcast with James Lindsay, Episode 105

We hear so much about “decolonization” nowadays. Whether it’s decolonizing the curriculum, decolonizing science, decolonizing Shakespeare, decolonizing the nation, or whatever; whether it’s decolonizing education following from Joe Kincheloe’s project on Paulo Freire; wherever we hear it, it means something. So it can be better understood, in this episode of the New Discourses Podcast, host James Lindsay takes a dive into one of the key early texts of decolonization and Postcolonial Theory: Frantz Fanon’s legendary The Wretched of the Earth. Fanon minces no words, writing in the first sentence, “whatever may be the headings used or the new formulas introduced, decolonization is always a violent phenomenon.” Join James to learn more about these roots and what they represent.

Franz Fanon wasn’t a French Algerian man. He was a black man, a French citizen, born at Fort-de-France in Martinique in 1925. He did live in French Algeria from 1953 to 1957, when he was expelled from the country due to his support for Algerian independance. The Wretched of the Earth was published in 1961.

Because youtube will not allow this post.
I have been watching a lot of videos from Lloyd DeJongh on gnosticism and more recently on Islam as a totalitarian political system with an attached gnostic religion and legal system. You may want to look into this.

      BINGO! You got it.
I’ve been calling islam a Political Theocracy for a long time. It’s goal is purely political – World Domination. It’s means are savagery and they declare the annihilation of ALL who do not submit to them.

Ron, as a Muslim, this is quite amusing to think billions of Muslims across the globe who practice savagery and annihilation of everyone else. On which planet do you live? Have you never met a Muslim? Have courage, find a mosque nearby and go say hello. Islam means peace, so I doubt they will annihilate you on sight. Go on, decolonise your mind. Lots of love

Wikiislam states that your definition of “Islam” as “peace” is a “misconception”:

“The Compendium of Muslim Texts, confirms this understanding:
          Misconception 1
Islam is `the religion of peace’ because: the Arabic word Islam is derived from the Arabic word “Al-Salaam” which means peace.
It might seem strange to think of this as a misconception, but in fact it is. The root word of Islam is ‘al-silm’ which means ‘submission’ or ‘surrender.’ It is understood to mean ‘submission to Allah.’ In spite of whatever noble intention has caused many a Muslim to claim that Islam is derived primarily from peace, this is not true…
Allah in the Qur’an makes it clear this his religion and that of his prophet is one of submission. Peace only comes through submission to Allah and his prophet.”

Sneering at someone to “decolonize your mind” is the opposite of “love” unless that “love” is passive-aggressive sarcasm. What planet do YOU live on? Planet Woke it seems. You need to “decolonize” your rage and open your mind to viewpoints different from your own.

The podcast on the Violence of Decolonization scared me immensely. I see examples & the consequences of this kind of tear down the oppressor violence happening in real time every day now. The consequences are devastating. This rhetoric is dominating the media. Society is breaking down. Just today I read about a male Caucasian ER doctor biking along the Pacific Coast highway in California who was killed by some random dark skinned man in a Lexus who rammed the doctor with his car as the doctor was riding his bike. This man then got out of his car & proceeded to stab the doctor multiple times in the back while screaming “White Privilege” over & over..according to witnesses. Obviously this attacker is mentally ill. The message that white people are racist & are the oppressors does create division, destabilization, violence & harm. However, from what I have been seeing the violence happening from the belief that men & society must be destroyed & then rebuilt is mostly happening by white men & women who were raised in upper middle class families. I don’t know anything for sure, it is all so overwhelming for me to take in and comprehend. I am just trying to understand why this is happening.

Thanks for doing this on Fannon , who was from Martinique .

He also was the seed for the black militant anti interracial sex agenda , he wrote a paper interviewing three black women about their hang ups having sex with white men , but two were made up charactors .

That makes him KKK identity politics evil .
