How Paulo Freire Made Marxism Stupid

The New Discourses Podcast with James Lindsay, Episode 94

Paulo Freire is a Brazilian Marxist who is responsible for “Marxifying” education, thereby ruining it. In effect, what he did was created a Marxist Theory of being educated, and what this did, in turn, was create a Marxist Theory of knowledge and knowing. Who gets to be considered a knower? On what grounds? To whose benefit? Who decides? All of these questions are to be answered on (Critical) Marxist grounds. One result of this transition, in addition to his approach to education, is that he opened the door to a true Marxism of stupidity. You see, as a result of Freire’s arguments, “excluded knowledges” have to be included, which includes the stupid. Speaking of how anti-intellectual and stupid this allowed Marxism to be, it allows for any idiot with a “Critical” disposition to create a Marxist Theory of anything by asking and answering the sorts of questions listed above about the knowledge base of anything they want. Thus, we end up with Marxist analyses of every academic subject, every facet of society, every hobby, every everything, in an interminable cascade of irritating stupidity we refer to as “being Woke.” In this episode of the New Discourses Podcast, host James Lindsay explains the phenomenon through a number of examples that make it absolutely clear how cheap and stupid “Marxist” analysis has become as a result of going “Woke.”

I’m thinking you could have just resolved the war on drugs. There’s a pretty good argument for a legal defense a drug dealer might use in there somewhere. Given that combined with medical malpractice lawsuits coming up and lawyers are gonna be busy…

As a coordinated worldwide sociological war there has never been one this complex that is for certain. WW2 had plenty, in fact people are reliant to discuss that due to the post war smokescreen that educate people not to – so lets just say that de Gaulie’s reason for running away to london was hardly ‘to run the resistance’ & was more to run away from, but lets leave that there. But the way this situation unfolds concerns very tight bonds between europe & america. For example – many of the reasons the matters take the form they do is due to the role of artificial intelligence. Its going to run a huge range of law enforcement, justice systems ( Ai Courts ) & much more ( if my analysis these past 15 years = research ) is correct. Thus naturally they are defining the system in a global context ( its linguistics) = that takes an unprecedented level of collaboration. In many ways all of the strategies are already embedded in Ai, and what we need to understand is that they have reserved – Contradictions – for use sociologically, but do not even attempt to program them into artificial intelligence since that will de-optimised the databases. Lets make something clear also that these are databases, there is NO neural activity, it is still a holy grail. People like Dennett- Penrose et all having rubbished Meme Theory in the past, now love theories linked to autonomous cultural learning & are getting onto theories concerning emotion seriously. Penrose with Hamerooff having attempted a theory of consciousness with something called Orchestrated Objective Reduction, which leans heavily on Plato’s Objective Idealism. Dennett a debunker of consciousness – these people are not about to allow stuff they’ve vocally opposed in the past to get in the way. But the is a reason for this activity, & they’ve probably had big research grant waved at them. It suffices it to say that with Ai earmarked as a global language in law enforcement – and indeed detection hence the smart motorways & other CCTV – that a system that could disrupt the masses took the form of a tag team effort internationally.

A computer may not be neural yet, ( in truth its hundreds of years away ) but it doesn’t need to be in order to INSIST on binaries. The irony is then – that while say Dennett now claims that the mind is a computer. He will know very well that the human mind is being bombarded with illogical decouplings that a computer cannot compute this & isn’t. Therefore Ai is coded in binaries that recognise men & women = it has to be communicated with in every duality of sense there is. However computers can be taught to database in a manner that pumps out a decoupled attitude. I’m going to posit that – if a computer was neural, it would complain about this.

The other thing is the stupendous amount f public wealth being stripped to fund nuclear fusion. This has as much to so with what is going on as anything does

Another interesting component is that all of the rewards are based upon government subsidies. Check out the US Dept. of Education or any of the other agencies, none of which are authorized by the Constitution: https://www.usa.gov/federal-agencies

The rewards are all generated from tax dollars. Solution: Eliminate the 16th Amendment and defund all of these agencies. If we can stop tax dollars from flowing to these areas, they can only survive if they can find people who are willing to pay them directly.

It is said in all the great ”spiritual” traditions that the mind or ego is a very small part of the human being. All this woke outlook is nothing more than excessive , useless thinking. THESE PEOPLE are going backwards in human development, not forward or even holding ground in what we have gained through millions of years of evolution. They are caught in a vicious cycle of confusion and blind perception. What use does any advanced or even stable person have for this non sense? They don’t even consider that there is something more to life than a shallow, thin ideology which robs them of their capacity to engage in reasonable interaction with the world. . Let them sink into the abyss or muck of silliness and drown and for gods sake don’t try to reason with them. Such like extreme religious cults indoctrinate their followers to believe in crazy beliefs. This movement is no different, just acts like it is superior.

Izaak Walton as white English patriarchal Gatekeeper for fishing: great topic for future Ph.D. dissertation (s). Given the politics of the American Political Science Association, that thesis would probably be selected for a future Leo Strauss Award by that guild.

The question is , does America have in it , enough to stand up to this crap ?

This brainwash is so deep and penetrating now up to the highest levels of our society . It’s going to take decades to get to the bottom of this .

From pandemic fraud , to race card , to open borders and now flawed climate change agendas causing massive inflation now by pressuring to tear down energy independence , they have masses and masses of people lock stepping to this.

Thanks for your info , James

In my opinion, one of the ironies regarding Wokeness is that, if it is Marxist, it violates one of the basic axioms of Marxist epistemology: that all thinking is derivative of, and limited by, the material base, of the mode of production: ideas do not have a life of their own (Marx’s take on philosophical idealism). In this instance, the “ideas” seem to be not only detached from the material base, but even from the “thinker”who conjured up such ideas. From its very beginnings, Marxism as a “science” took on a life of its own, not only detaching itself from the proletariat but even from Marx himself. Marx, after all, could not lift himself up from the material limits he assigns to all thinking. He is but a nineteenth century theorist, with all the limitations on his personal thoughts that that implies. Yet Marxism has liberated itself from the limits of Marx, as a self correcting project : the triumph of a new idealism. Hayek’s analysis of the role of intellectuals as the disseminators and popularizers of theories may be illuminating on this topic.

Marx himself believed that feudalism and slavery were oppressive but necessary means of socio-political-economic organization given the material limits of pre-industrial society. He derived his theory of revolution on the idea that although the industrial bourgeois were oppressive, they were still an improvement on what came before by releasing mankind from the scarcities that necessitated earlier structures.

Scrolling down from your twitter link, was a amazingly hopeful excerpt from a speech made today by the new (first female) Italian Prime Minister (PM) who quotes G K Chesterton (fuller quote below). The world ruling class is calling her far right and fascist of course, but listen to her (English subtitled) speech — arguing FOR being authentically human and AGAINST being re-made into globalist corporate consumerist enslaved robotic serfs. She is called far right but she is more humanist old left than the trans-humanist new left but is called right by the left to hide that they’re the real far right disguised as new left to psy-ops the truth that they work for the only real far right on the planet: the literally fascist omnipotent oligarchic plutocratic globalist corporate World State Ruling Class who demand “2 + 2 = 5/men are women/whites are the cancer of human history” to smokescreen their crimes against humanity — and this new PM is proclaiming NO! F.U.! We are fighting back! And she won a majority. Hopeful.

      G K Chesterton
“The great march of mental destruction will go on. Everything will be denied. Everything will become a creed. It is a reasonable position to deny the stones in the street; it will be a religious dogma to assert them. It is a rational thesis that we are all in a dream; it will be a mystical sanity to say that we are all awake. Fires will be kindled to testify that two and two make four. Swords will be drawn to prove that leaves are green in summer. We shall be left defending, not only the incredible virtues and sanities of human life, but something more incredible still, this huge impossible universe which stares us in the face. We shall fight for visible prodigies as if they were invisible. We shall look on the impossible grass and the skies with a strange courage. We shall be of those who have seen and yet have believed.”

“Nations and empires come and go and the United States is no exception to that. There’s really no question that the country is in a profound decline. But out of that decline, I think great things can be created. If only we’d manage to successfully navigate these conditions better structures for the future could potentially emerge. You know, I like to say that ‘blackpill’ and ‘cope’ are two sides of the same coin. And I think the trick is to navigate that very thin edge so that you’re developing a sort of ‘Pessimism of Strength’, to use a Nietzschean term, and learn to avoid the devil of cope on one shoulder and the devil of blackpill on the other.”

As an English teacher, I have seen first hand how they have placed Marxist theory into the text book. Students are forced to look through a critical lense at race, culture, etc. It is evil.
