We’ve discussed before how every Woke slope is slippery. That is, we’ve discussed how a commitment to social constructivism prevents Woke agendas from ever being able to say “this is far enough.” In this episode of James Lindsay OnlySubs, my subscribers-only podcast, I hit this idea again with somewhat different framing. Specifically, I explain why Wokeness not only lacks any limiting principle on its activism but also, far more concerningly, is intrinsically disposed against any possible limiting principle. Of course, this guarantees that it will be destructive. Join me for this short discussion to understand why the Woke Left is always spiraling out of control.

It doesn’t matter any more what Woke does or doesn’t do or think or say. The battle is lost because demographics is destiny. The quote below is talking about all Western humans under the age of 30 (Gen Z or something). These young people are the hive and Woke is their hivemind. I live near four public schools in a posh urban nabe and whenever I happen to drive by as these hordes of anhedonic, robotic Red Guard new humans are leaving school, I see the alien children of “The Midwich Cuckoos”.
“An entire generation are puzzled by the idea that anyone has the right to say things they don’t agree with… for most people, true free speech has ceased to exist… On some issues, such as the transgender controversy, it is virtually impossible to say anything without attracting the attention of the Thought Police… Among millions, the idea that you can defend someone’s right to say something you disagree with is now puzzling. They have no idea why anyone would do that. For them, the debate is over, they have won, and those who oppose them are stupid and wrong… All of them believed that they owned the truth, that they were profoundly good and that those who got in their way were therefore evil as well as wrong.”
