New Discourses Bullets, Ep. 140

It goes without saying at this point that “Woke” activists appear to exhibit a suite of psychopathological traits and behaviors, but why? They can’t all be crazy, not in the literal sense. The answer might lie in a concept that is sometimes called behavioral psychopathology, although the behaviors in this case are actually ideologically conditioned, motivated, and driven. That is, the answer might be that they aren’t literally crazy but their ideological belief structure makes them behave, think, and even react in psychopathological ways. In this episode of New Discourses Bullets, host James Lindsay raises this possibility and offers a short discussion on it in the hopes of adding clarity and depth to a conversation that is becoming absolutely undeniable.

Psychology has limited understandings in these areas. In other words, it doesn’t know much about what causes – or how to cure – insanity.
This is because it has refused to look into the phenomenon of past lives, which is central to understanding the human psyche.
It is absolutely true that a person can be trained to act insane, and that this can happen in a group or even on a societal level. This is similar to how an actor can learn to play a villain or a hero.
Indeed, many such people may not be innately crazy (or whatever you want to call it), but can learn weird behavior patterns and adopt them as a way of life. James tells us that this may be reversible, and that is probably true. But accomplishing that is a real trick if the dominant social influences favor those (unwanted) behaviors. An educational campaign would be key to solving this problem.
There is a name for this subject: Ponerology. The leading text in this subject is Łobaczewski’s “Political Ponerology.” There is also a useful Substack on this subject by the same name.
In the end, not even the “essential” psychopath needs their psychopathy. They would be much better off without it. But getting such a person to step away from that “solution” is very difficult.

At the Nuremberg trials of the Nazis after WW2, Herman Goring – head of the Luftwaffe – was reportedly asked on the stand *How did you get so many Germans, the highest cultural and scientific community in Europe, to do all those horrible things?” “It is simple” he reportedly said, “just keep them in constant fear and, not only will they do what they are told to do, they will become like sheep (i.e. sheep herd each other)”. Wokism (communism) and fascism are cults on a large scale. People in cults – out of fear – are made to do irrational and horrible things to prove their loyalty to the cult (eg: Red Guard under Mao). Constant fear is the key. Some of those living under the cult become psychopaths as an adaptation. Look how some people reacted to the constant fear mongering around Covid. They became sheep.
