In The Third Reich Sourcebook, very near the beginning, there’s a curious piece from Dietrich Eckhart, one of the founders of the German Workers’ Party (DAP) that later became Hitler’s National Socialist German Workers’ Party (NSDAP, or the Nazi Party). It’s about the necessity of Jews being in the world, which you don’t exactly expect from an early Nazi. Written in 1919 by one of Hitler’s political and philosophical mentors, it sheds peculiar light on the mystical views held by the Nazis with regard to race, Jews, and German Aryans. In this episode of my subscribers-only podcast, James Lindsay OnlySubs, I take you through this short piece to give a glimpse into the thought of the earliest moments of the Nazi Party. I’m offering it to you as a “bonus episode” for my popular Nazi Experiment podcast series on the New Discourses Podcast, and I hope you find it interesting and insightful.
