James, again my condolences for your loss; Charlie was an exemplar of good-faith, based activism for the Right.
I’ve been looking at your tweet regarding necessary changes. Please add to it, if not already conceived, that we must dismantle the whole doctrine of “Hate Speech” for both the Left and the Right. What the Leftists have been doing and saying in the wake of Charlie’s death is abhorrent and de-humanized, and if their employers have certain clauses in their employment agreements that prohibit inciting speech or behavior that is against the employer’s mission – then that is fair game if they are then fired for it, as it’s something that reflects on the company, hospital or office. However, as I’m sure you’re aware, this is a potential shift where the Right could go very badly wrong and may institute their own brand of “hate speech” laws or rules.
We need to make sure the State does not get more power with regard to speech enforcement on citizens, period.
