New Discourses Bullets, Ep. 59
Thankfully, the world is rapidly waking up to the threat of ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) scoring for corporations and beyond. The nature of that threat and its contours are coming into view, and people are taking action. In truth, as menacing and dangerous as ESG is in what it’s doing right now, the real threat of ESG lies elsewhere. The real threat of ESG is that it can be arbitrarily defined at the whim of a small number of unaccountable executives calling themselves “stakeholders.” That’s fearsome tyrannical power. Join host James Lindsay for this episode of New Discourses Bullets where it breaks it down.

I was just listening to a review of Kant’s theory of Morality. Do what will result in upholding the general good for society and promote goodness and universal love. Seems like a stark contrast to what these elites are up to. People are capable of great evil and deception, manipulation and trickery. Is this why Post Modern philosophy rejects any idea of truth??? And attacks enlightenment values.?? Make up an idea and see if it flies. According to it’s strains everything is a struggle for power and revenge and any action to promote your ends are justified.
This is why the American Government under Biden and company is so crazy. School boards are an example…
James you’re absolutely on target!!! Same story of old, same playbook just different time and characters.
