Progress is something almost everyone looks at in a positive light, but progressivism is a nightmare that can’t achieve it. Why? Conservatism is usually put in direct opposition to progress, but this doesn’t seem to be what happens in reality. Why? In this episode of my subscribers-only podcast, James Lindsay OnlySubs, I talk about how genuine progress is made through conserving the principles that enable it. This is, in other words, what Benjamin Franklin meant when he said that the Founders had given the United States a republic, if we can keep it.
