People often believe that Communism cannot possibly be at the heart of what’s taking over the world today because so many of the people who push it are rich and privileged, but this belies a fundamental failure to understand a simple truth about Communism. Communism is a rich man’s game. There are many reasons why Communism has always been an ideology of the rich and privileged, and in this episode of my subscribers-only podcast, James Lindsay OnlySubs, I touch upon a few of them so that you can better understand what this ideology is and what it represents. Most importantly, you won’t be confused by the fact that the wealthy and privileged are by far its loudest advocates.

Funny, the most loathsome and loudest advocates of communism that I’ve known in Western Europe all had trust funds and came from money. Unsurprisingly, not one single hypocrite gave up there money. Not. One.
You need to read Crane Brinton’s Anatomy of Revolution (1938, 1964)! Parts of it are eerily prescient today!

Exactly. I mean Castro, Stalin, kim Jun un etc don’t look like they ever missed a meal in their lives. If their systems were for the good of the poor they’d voluntarily starve with the people and divest themself of their wealth and priveledges too.
