I’m giving advice again, right here on James Lindsay OnlySubs, my subscribers-only podcast. This time, it’s about interacting with reality, which is necessary and humbling and, most importantly, an important vaccine against bad abstract ideas. The thing is, my usual discussions are about Wokeness and the Woke ideology, and that ideology believes things that are not true in reality. Reality won’t compromise for its fantasies, though, and the more viscerally and concretely you understand this basic fact, the less likely you are to fall for abstract academic ideas that aren’t properly based in reality. So, get out there and interact with the real, once you’re finished listening to the episode, that is!

Couldn’t agree more. I work in a wonderful primary school with beautiful children and a farm with chickens, goats and we’ve just had some cute lambs join us. The thought of gender ideology being taught in schools horrifies me and if I come across it in my capacity as an educator I will fight tooth and nail for children not to be indoctrinated.
