The New Discourses Podcast with James Lindsay, Episode 114
What in the world is “Christian Nationalism,” and how in the world is it supposed to work? For those who don’t yet realize, there is a major reactionary push brewing in the Christian Right that seeks to seize the present moment of uncertainty and frustration and take it into some “Christian Nationalist” direction. What is meant by “some ‘Christian Nationalist’ direction,” though? That’s a good question, and there appear to be a wide variety of answers. Worse, the people offering these answers are consciously playing off the others in a kind of motte-and-bailey, good-cop/bad-cop routine to advance their agendas. As we know, and as was documented by Nicholas Shackel for the first time in his 2005 paper, “On the Vacuity of Postmodernist Methodology” (pdf), that strategy is strongly identifiable with postmodernist thinking. So why is the so-called “Christian Nationalist” Right using it for its agenda? And, again, how on Earth is this supposed to work? And why does so much of it sound like Mao? All of these questions are raised and addressed by host James Lindsay in this episode of the New Discourses Podcast, using Stephen Wolfe’s (“Mr. Wolfe the Greater”) new book The Case for Christian Nationalism and William Wolfe’s (“Mr. Wolfe the Lesser“) various writings to explain this peculiar movement that looks every bit like a strategic operation against the enemies of the Woke or an old-fashioned trap. Join James to hear his thoughts about this very suspicious and annoying development.

Enemies Within the Church exposes the Marxist infiltration of the churches, seminary, etc. By Trevor Louden
All “christian democrat” parties around the world are socialist. That’s not an accident. Christianism is the original socialism.
Here’s an old video from the 90’s on the Church Groth Movement started by Rick Warren (WEF Member) A. K. A. Purpose Driven Life, Purpose Driven Chruch, based on Peter Drucker’s social change, management and Communitarian, Third Way, Three-Legged Stool approach. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XJxUUaJjUTc
The Church Groth Movement was the wrong religious movement, I should have checked before posting. Please delete by previous messages. With that said, there is a religious group that I can across about 7 years ago that believed the second coming wouldn’t occur unless Christians weren’t in every sector of society, including government and taught that their followers had a duty to becomes leaders in government, society, etc. in order to make heaven on earth, preparing the way for Christ. And that Christ wouldn’t return until they did that work. Which I confused with the previously mentioned movement.
This sound similar to the Church Groth Movement.

In short, the Christian quest for a Christian Caesar is:
a) Not unanticipated
b) Not new
c) Not utterly inappropriate for the times, although ultimately a folly from the standpoint of biblical precept and sociopolitical reason.
That’s correct, Col. Green. Moral codes are incompatible with human nature. That’s why we have moral codes. Moral codes do not inevitably result in enslavement, dictatorships, and slaughter. I think the Ten Commandments, The Eight-Fold Path, Hammurabi’s Code, The Koran, Magna Carta, The USA Constitution, and the UN Charter have tried to control human nature and have done a fair job. Trying to regulate such an unpredictable animal as human beings is a good reason to believe that “If there wasn’t a God we would have to invent one.” Punishment is more convincing than reward.
The prince of the world is SATAN. he(WOLF) is advocating for the antichrist. he(WOLF) is a moron
The goal of Christian Nationalism is either a Christian expression of Theocracy, or Communism/Socialism behind a thin veneer of Christianity a la Liberation Theology to make it socially palatable to Christians. Christianity, like every other expression of theism, advocates and promotes a moral code of self-sacrifice, as does every expression of secular statism, i.e., Socialism, Communism, and Fascism. Because such a moral code is fundamentally incompatible with human nature, thus inimical to legitimate individual rights, it inevitably results in enslavement and dictatorship–and slaughter to enforce both–wherever it has been imposed.
