Most people do not understand what a gulag is. They think of the Nazi concentration camps and therefore miss the point. Gulags, utilized directly and by that term in the Soviet Union under Lenin and then Stalin and without the term in Maoist Communist China, are re-education camps, not merely labor camps or concentration camps. That is, they have an ideological goal, and that goal is to brainwash people into becoming Communists. They’re also mid-20th century technology, so they’re not likely to be utilized extensively in their classical prison-camp form in 21st century totalitarian regimes, as we can already see in CCP-controlled China. The tyranny and brainwashing of today will be through digital gulags, which amount to using digital devices and technology to control and contour behavior, including through social-credit programs, while re-educating people into the Neo-Communist ideology behind these totalitarian agendas, primarily ESG-driven “sustainability.” In this episode of New Discourses Bullets, host James Lindsay explains not only what digital gulags might look like but how they’re already being built, primarily using our children as guinea pigs under the “educational” brand name of systemic Transformative Social-Emotional Learning (SEL). the whole reeducation camps and thought reform prisons wont happen. cause you cant completely control seomones thoughts, opinions, what they think, how they think or their feelings its impossible. and thoguht reform prisons arent gonna happen same for reeducation camps cause the majority of americans hate woekism and are fighting back agains it. and blaming whites for their equity programs failing is stupid whata re they gonna do encourse minorites to assualt whites? that wont work cause if you treat whites, men and straight people as second class citizens your foricng them to turn to crime and persecute and kill whoever discirminates white, men and straight people
This is going in the direction of “conspiracy theory.” I personally think James is onto something that is very important. But can he convince less-informed or more cautious anti-Woke people that this is where we are being led to? Because most Woke would be sickened by these plans, as well.
That’s why I think the Woke will be dumped out of their current power and influence as soon as they have served their pupose. Just as was done with real Liberals, and Conservatives, years ago. The big question remains: Who are “they?” Though the simple answer is some sort of secret corporate power structure, I think it goes beyond that.
There are two futures that “they” are mostly worried about (I would guess). The first is this life and their place in it. And the second is everything after that. YOLO (You Only Live Once) failed to work. Most people know that’s not how things are. And that’s certainly true of Corporate, where the business can survive beyond the lifetimes of its current leaders. So on the one hand we have pure greed (fear of loss) driving this whole process, and on the other hand we have something a little more indefinite motivating these people. And due mostly to the second concern, I think these people (who we imagine are all part of the corporate power structure) are tapping into some sources of “help” that are pretty strange.
